The Burn Ban prohibits open burning in or near any grasslands, brush, undergrowth, woods, prairie, or slough whenever the North Dakota Fire Danger Rating for Rolette County is High, Very High, or Extreme, or any time that the National Weather Service has declared a Red Flag Warning for critical burning conditions in Rolette County. This Burn Ban shall be in effect from April 12 through May 31, 2019.
Burning will be permitted – with a Burn Permit from B.I.A. Forestry & Fire – ONLY on days when the North Dakota Fire Danger Rating for Rolette County is LOW to MODERATE – with the understanding that whoever obtains a Burn Permit is still responsible for maintaining control over their fire.
