Summary:

Turtle Mountain Tribe is seeking a juvenile delinquency prevention program case manager saving high risk adolescents and their families. It is based on the assumption that, while many adolescents are at risk experimentation with alcohol and drugs; those who lack effective family and community support are especially vulnerable. Out proposed program seeks to build resiliency in adolescents and provide positive youth development framework that uses intensive case management to coordinate and provide services to counteract the various factors that make youth vulnerable to substance abuse and delinquency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To provide identified Tribal youth with the services and support systems that they need to become productive, law-abiding citizens. This includes the coordination of key community stakeholders including families, schools, law enforcement agencies, social services and health agencies.
  • Implement evidence-based strategies to address the needs of delinquent or at-risk youth through a continuum of programs and services.
  • Coordinate and provide services to counteract the various factors that make youth vulnerable to substance abuse and delinquency.
  • Provide our youth with the services and support systems that they need to become productive, law-abiding citizens. This includes the coordination of key community stakeholders including families, schools, law enforcement agencies, social services and health agencies.
  • To create a safer, substance free environment for clients and their families to thrive within their communities.
  • To assist youth with the development and implementation of their individual “success plan.” This includes educational plans, personal development, employment, independent living skills, family relationships and engaging in positive community activities.
  • Daily data and file reporting; Inputs data onto MIS spreadsheet for monthly reports
  • Monitors the day-to-day activities and home environment
  • Maintains direct contact with community-based service delivery programs; refers program participant/family members for services as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

  • The applicant must have an Associate’s Degree preferably in social and/behavioral science.
  • 4-5 years’ experience working directly with adolescents in a case management or mentoring role.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • First Aid Certification
  • Reliable transportation and flexible hours are a must
  • Must pass criminal background check – tribal, county and state.
  • Must possess a ND Driver’s license and proof of insurance in own name
