Quick update on this afternoons events. Late this afternoon, a surrounding community reached out to the Tribe to inform us that a Tribal Member had tested positive for Covid-19. The Tribe was close to announcing three Home Units that will be categorized as 'TM Covid Cares Homes'. Faced with the possibility of sending one of our own across the state to quarantine was not an option. We protect our own with extreme cautions in place. The Tribe working together with this Medical Facility was able to fast track a friendly, safe environment for one of our own. EVERY safety precaution was followed to the 'T' and above in many aspects.

TM-Cares Home 1 is the model home located between the Tribal Building and TM Manufacturing Plant. The house is fully furnished and supplied for anyone who may come in contact with Covid-19 or worst, test positive. These homes are meant as safe havens for our people with 24/7 Security for not only the individuals who may need to utilize these 'Safe Havens' but also the Turtle Mountain Membership as a whole.

Contract Tracing had begun before the Tribe was able to be notified and the procedures that State and/or County are in full effect.

Any person who utilizes the TM-Cares Homes is required to sign a quarantine order until timelines can be determined by the Tracers and will not Leave the Units until the virus period is over and have tested Negative for Covid-19.

TMBCI, rest assured that there are very specific rules that members need to follow and there will be security at all times.
Our MAIN Priority has and will always be the safety of the community and our individual members. An official Statement from the Tribe will come tomorrow but these homes are phase 1. A prime example of what TM-Cares Funding is meant for. The short and long term safety of our Tribe.
