Rolette County Public Health Officials have announced the first Positive Case of Covid-19 in Rolette County. The Positive Case has been verified by North Dakota Dept. of Health Officials. We can confirm the female in her 30’s from Rolette County has been notified and has been under Self-Quarantine since the test was administered earlier this week. The positive case is being investigated as a possible community spread.
TMBCI Tribal Government urges our community to remain calm. We have all been preparing ourselves for the strong possibility that a ‘Positive’ test would one day impact the Tribe and/or County. We have all stressed taking Preventative Measures for not only ourselves, but for those around us. We must all reinforce those precautionary measures including Social Distancing to our friends and loved ones.
We as a Tribe must ‘Stand Apart to Stand United’.
We will all move forward with the continued proactive approach of protecting our communities as a whole. Respecting the personal decisions of individual precautions being taken. Understanding that we need to follow the guidelines set forth to better protect our community even when it may be uncomfortable or conflicts with some of the values we’ve been raised with.
Understand that we are dealing with many unknowns. When dealing with unknowns, information will sometime change in an hours’ notice. Many times, decisions need to made in that same timeframe.
For ongoing response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the North Dakota Department of Health has established a COVID-19 Hotline to help answer questions. You can call (866) 207-2880 from 7am-10pm, 7 days a week. Individuals who need medical advice should contact their health care provider.
