Turtle Mountain Head Start Updates

I want to highlight 3 things happening at Turtle Mountain Head Start.

1. Parent Teacher conferences will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 8:30-4:00.

2. Turtle Mountain Head Start’s Focus area 2 review will take place the week of February 10-14, 2025. The FA2 team will be onsite reviewing all aspects of the Head start program, including, education, health and safety, family services. finance, human resources, and program governance.

3. Change in Scope. Our application for Change in Scope has been submitted to the Office of Head Start. Our administrative staff worked on this application throughout the school year 2023-2024. We are waiting for approval for our Change in Scope. Once it is approved, we will be opening Early Head Start at our St. John Center. We will have 2 classrooms of 2 year olds There will be 8 children in each of the 2 classrooms. The Change in Scope addresses our under enrollment issue. We will increase our enrollment with the addition of an Early Head Start center and be meeting a community need.
