Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Virtually attend training for implementation of Sources of Strength (SOS). Which provides guidance through adult mentoring in establishing a peer support system.
  • Will attend training in best methods in providing phone, email, and social media support to youth and families.
  • Create and implement brief (approximately half an hour) supplemental activities for the talking circle conducted during the club night.
  • Coordinate cultural activities with behavioral health interventions to demonstrate the significance of the culture and being mentally healthy and that such knowledge and practice can strengthen the self-image and give hope of a more positive future.
  • Will initiate and maintain contact with at risk youth and establish a means to deep in contact with the youth and families during the transition of the COVID guidelines.
  • Must be able to coordinate and carry out virtual meetings through zoom.
  • Must do written monthly reports and submit to program director.
  • Collaborate effectively with local schools throughout the community.
  • Confidently is a must.
  • Have knowledge of local cultural resources.
  • Must be able to collaborate with other programs within the community.
  • Must have the ability to communicate with TMO staff and general public.
  • Have knowledge of local cultural resources.
  • Must be able to collaborate with other programs within the community.

Qualification:

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to travel if needed.
  • 4Must have reliable vehicle.
  • Must be able to travel if needed.
  • Must pass back ground check.
  • Must have high school diploma or GED
