Position Overview

• Direct and oversee all aspects of senior nutrition and meal programs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate program goals, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Older Americans Act requirements and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Manage meal production, delivery, food safety, quality assurance, and client satisfaction.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate program staff, site managers, drivers, and volunteers.
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets, monitor expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with funding agencies, community organizations, healthcare providers, and vendors.
• Prepare grant reports, program statistics, and performance outcomes.
• Monitor program participation and implement strategies to increase service utilization.
• Coordinate emergency meal response plans and continuity of operations.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and nutrition standards.
• Conduct site visits and quality assurance reviews.
• Grant writing, fundraising efforts, and program development.
• Represent the organization at community meetings, advisory councils, and public events.
• Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for participants, staff, and volunteers.
• Knowledge of senior nutrition programs and aging services.
• Understanding of federal, state, and local regulations governing nutrition services.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience managing budgets and financial reporting.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze program data and prepare reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database/program management software.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Organizational Skills,
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Compensation

$28.00 per hour

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Nutrition, Social Services, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Human Services, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible management experience in senior services, nutrition programs, nonprofit management, healthcare, or community services.
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience managing grants, budgets, and government-funded programs preferred.
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Registered Dietitian (RD), or related certification is a plus.
• Grant management experience.
• Experience working with diverse older adult populations.
• Bilingual abilities are desirable.
• Experience with Older Americans Act nutrition programs is highly desirable.
• Driver’s License and vehicle insurance.
